Possible Mavericks target? Deron Williams visits Dallas locker room

Sporting a red Texas Rangers hat, New Jersey Nets point guard Deron
Williams walked through the Dallas Mavericks locker room Thursday night,
congratulating the Western Conference champions on their Game 5 NBA
Finals victory.

Williams made small talk with Brian Cardinal before embracing Jason Terry and chatting with Jason Kidd.

Could the 26-year-old, who attended The Colony High School near Dallas, join the Mavericks in the near future?

Report: Sixers, Clippers talk Kaman-Iguodala trade

After rumors surfaced on Tuesday of a possible trade that would send Andre Iguodala to the Golden State Warriors for shooting guard Monta Ellis, yet another trade rumor surfaced Wednesday.

ESPN.com is reporting that the Sixers discussed a potential trade with the Los Angeles Clippers to get Chris Kaman in exchange for Iguodala.

Frank or Casey next Raptors coach?

Raptors president/general manager Bryan Colangelo would not comment
Thursday on a report he has narrowed the team’s coaching search down to
Boston’s Lawrence Frank and Dwane Casey of the Mavericks.

With good reason, it seems. Late in the day, a new wrinkle came about
when ESPN reported Oklahoma City assistant Mo Cheeks was also in the
mix.

Source: Monta trade talks 'pretty hot'

The Warriors and representatives for Monta Ellis are working
cooperatively to see if a trade to a contending team can be arranged, a
deal that would likely happen around the NBA draft later this month, a
person with knowledge of the discussions told CBSSports.com.

“It’s pretty hot,” the person familiar with the talks said.

Look for Bulls to keep both draft picks

The draft workouts at the Berto Center have already begun for the Bulls, who have Nos. 28 and 30 in the first round on June 23.

It’s doubtful the Bulls will make a major move on draft night. The last
thing they want to do is add another high-salaried player because of the
uncertainty of the impending lockout and new collective bargaining
agreement.

Maurice Cheeks in mix

Lawrence Frank and Dwane Casey are on the Toronto Raptors’ list of
coaching candidates, but sources say there is a strong third candidate:
Oklahoma City Thunder assistant coach Maurice Cheeks.

The Raptors are not expected to make a decision on their coach until GM
Bryan Colangelo returns from a scouting trip in Europe. They are also
expected to wait until they can interview Mavericks assistant coach
Casey, after the NBA Finals.
