The United States of America national basketball team so far has been doing pretty well in the Olympics: they‘ve won three out of the three matches that they‘ve had so far, promptly demolishing China and Venezuela and managing a more difficult victory against Australia. Now they’ve got two more European opponents to play until the QF – but the dream team is a bit short in the dream department, or so it seems this far.

5 Basketball Players’ Surprising Hobbies

Shooting hoops, slam dunking and employing a huge amount of fancy footwork is the bread and butter of a basketball players’ day job, and as one might expect the courtside exploits of our favourite players are what usually form fans’ opinions of players, also forming the bulk of basketball-focused media reports. This view of basketball players’ lives is rather narrow minded however, and there are plenty of off-court player pastimes that generally allow for a more rounded opinion to be formed concerning our favourite players.
