The word out of Cleveland is that a strained right elbow and and a bone
bruise of his olecranon were what had LeBron James shooting a free throw
with his left hand at the end of Cleveland’s 94-96 series-clinching win
over Chicago Tuesday night.

Another potential free agent could be off the NBA market well before it
even opens. And while that might be bad news for the Knicks and Nets, it
could be good news for David Lee.
Suns forward Amar’e Stoudemire, a possible prime target of the Knicks
and Nets this summer, has been offered a contract extension, according
to Fanhouse.com, which quoted a source as saying that the two sides are

Bill Walker, one of this past season’s pleasant revelations, said he
believes one of the reasons for the Knicks’ 29-53 record was a lack of
leadership in the locker room.
Walker, who came over from the Celtics in the Nate Robinson trade on
Feb. 18, told The Post it was jarring to see none of the veterans step
up in the leadership department after he spent two seasons in Boston
