Pierce: Hurt LBJ still one of the best

The word out of Cleveland is that a strained right elbow and and a bone
bruise of his olecranon were what had LeBron James shooting a free throw
with his left hand at the end of Cleveland’s 94-96 series-clinching win
over Chicago Tuesday night.

Like a lot of people who saw replays of James wincing as he held his
right arm after using it to make a free throw, Celtics center Kendrick
Perkins was puzzled. Continue reading “Pierce: Hurt LBJ still one of the best” »

Wade on his impending free agency: 'My heart is here'

Could it be this simple? Could Dwyane Wade have ended the debate less

"My heart is here and anybody who knows me, I’m mostly heart more so
than anything," Wade said outside the Miami Heat locker room Wednesday
evening, a day after the Heat was knocked out of the NBA playoffs by the
Boston Celtics. "My heart is in Miami. If everything works out, I will

Bill fits in Knicks' plans

Bill Walker, one of this past season’s pleasant revelations, said he
believes one of the reasons for the Knicks’ 29-53 record was a lack of
leadership in the locker room.

Walker, who came over from the Celtics in the Nate Robinson trade on
Feb. 18, told The Post it was jarring to see none of the veterans step
up in the leadership department after he spent two seasons in Boston
with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. Continue reading “Bill fits in Knicks' plans” »

did not have an opportunity to use the foul that the Heat had to give,
and the other four bodies were Michael Beasley, Quentin Richardson,
Udonis Haslem and Mario Chalmers. Continue reading “With Heat almost done, changes loom” »
