Sources reported that this week, LeBron James went to Miami so the city’s warm weather can help him deal with his knee and back strains, and bookmaker software services believe that this just might be the best thing that the player can do right now.
Cavaliers coach David Blatt said that team doctors advised the player to not go to games because constantly sitting down on the bench wouldn’t help his back.
Due to this, James did not have to participate in team activities, and he also didn’t go to road trips that took place in Charlotte and Philadelphia, as well as a meeting with the Mavericks at home.
“That was by design,” said Blatt. “He hasn’t been around per orders of the doctor.”
Some of that time was spent by the player in rehab at the team’s practice facility. He was in Miami this week spending some time there. Time spent in warm weather was considered to be helpful for his back. The player said that in the past week he had rehab sessions.
James said that the weather is part of the reason that he is going on the Cavaliers’ western road trip that is set to get underway in Golden State on Friday, although he could also be out for one more week.
“It helps that we’re going to some warmer cities, so my body could use that as well,” said James. “It’s difficult for sure, not being with the guys, and me being a team guy, and a camaraderie guy, it was difficult for sure.”
On Wednesday, the player was not sitting on the bench in the game where the Rockets beat the Cavaliers. Earlier on, he was evaluated again, showing that he made progress with his health.
“I’m on a program right now. I feel good. Week 1 is complete and I got one more left, they say,” said James. “If everything continues to go well, I’m on target, I’m on pace, I’m feeling better every day.”
James, who didn’t play for the Cavs’ last six meetings, didn’t do any basketball related activities as he’s concentrated on his problems with his lower back and improving the condition of his left knee, and it was no secret that in the season, these problems slowed him down. And bookmaker software services learned that the Cavaliers are looking forward to their game on Thursday against the Lakers as a possible date for his return, but they’re not yet committed to it at the moment.
“I hate missing games. You just look at my record and my résumé of missing games, it’s been one of the toughest things for me,” said James. “But I just had to listen to my body, listen to the docs, listen to my trainer, and that’s what we came up with.”
