Cleveland.com is reporting that Joe Smith of the Thunder may
still be on option for the Cavs as they move toward the playoffs.
It is reported that “Several league sources said Friday that
Smith and his agent, Dan Fegan, have been talking to the Thunder about securing
a buyout. The Cavs have expressed interest, setting up what could be
intensifying negotiations ahead of Sunday’s midnight deadline for players to be
released and still join playoff rosters.”
Besides Smith other players who are mentioned who could be
options for the Cavs are Austin Croshere, Earl Barron and Rasho Nesterovic who
may seek a buyout from the Pacers.
