Carlos Boozer was born in Germany, raised in Alaska, spent his college years at Duke and played with the Utah Jazz for the past five seasons. But ask him what city he considers home and where he would like to be traded and, without hesitation, he replies: “Miami.”

He returned to that theme when asked about a Tuesday radio interview in which Boozer said he had been told the Jazz were going in a "different direction" and that he expected to be traded "relatively soon."

But the Jazz general manager suggested Saturday he didn’t appreciate Carlos Boozer’s appearance last week on a Chicago radio station in which he discussed trade prospects, including perhaps playing for the Bulls.

Another major multi-team trade might be looming in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz and Chicago Bulls having discussed a deal that would be headlined by Carlos Boozer and Kirk Hinrich, according to NBA front-office sources.
Sam Smith of Bulls.com reports that
Carlos Boozer said on the Jim Rome ESPN radio show he hasn’t decided whether to opt out from his contract with more than $12 million remaining. He had said earlier this year he planned to opt out. Boozer supposedly had been indicating he has a free agent promise from Detroit or New Jersey.
The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting on the latest rumors with regard to
the rumors that are making the rounds with regard to Carlos Boozer. In
this rumor it is mentioned that if the nets are going to make a move
for Boozer they would likely have to make a sign and trade deal.
The New York Post is reporting that “Apparently, rising free agent-of-choice Carlos Boozer is telling confidants he’s either going to Detroit or New Jersey — only way the capsized Nets pull that off is by doing a sign-and-trade. Word has it Jersey will have but three assistants next season and all must take pay cuts.”
