Chris Bosh will have a similar decision to make this summer, and McGrady - who like Bosh began his career in Canada - can see the All-Star forward skipping town.

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Although the biggest names of the impending free-agent class are LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, the player involved in the most speculation is Chris Bosh because it's assumed he'll leave the Toronto Raptors at the end of the season.

There is one person pretty sure Chris Bosh won't be playing for any team other than the Toronto Raptors after the Feb. 18 NBA trade deadline: Chris Bosh.

It was three weeks before Christmas, but there was a perception among NBA general managers that Bryan Colangelo, the Raptors GM, was holding a perpetual Boxing Day sale.

Colangelo's squad was struggling, playing .350 ball after 20 games. His all-star forward, Chris Bosh, a soon-to-be free agent of undecided allegiance, was fresh from slouching through a 31-point loss in Atlanta and proclaiming: "We're just not a good team." And callers to Colangelo's phone were mostly of one description: Bargain hunters looking to cart off Bosh at a discount.

Though the Heat will consider making a trade offer for Amare Stoudemire, we hear that Miami considers another impending free agent, Chris Bosh, to be the better defensive option, which is important to the Heat. A friend of Stoudemire said he has a residence here and would consider Miami this summer if Phoenix doesn't keep him.
