Amare Stoudemire Rumors | Vince Carter Rumors | Chris Bosh Rumors | Allen Iverson Rumors |
Shawn Marion Rumors | Lamar Odom Rumors | Carlos Boozer Rumors Lakers Trade Rumors
With speculative rumors of Andrew Bynum possibly not playing Game 4 of
the NBA Finals spreading quickly, Pau Gasol practically sneered at the
notion after Lakers practice Wednesday.“He wants to be out there, no matter what,” Gasol said of Bynum. Bynum backed Gasol’s hunch later by saying: “I’m doing OK. Just finished treatment, got a lot of the swelling out. Going to do another one in about three hours. I’m going to be playing (Thursday night). I will be playing.” ![]() Michael Wilbon is a media giant, blabbermouth co-host of PTI, while also working alongside ESPN basketball expert Magic Johnson at times, an occasional column for the Washington Post and a guest this week on Tony Kornheiser's radio show in Washington, D.C. Wilbon has so much to say, there's no problem believing him when he says. "I have no idea what I said on the radio." ![]() Adrian Wojnarowski and Marc J. Spears has reached an agreement with the Los Angeles Lakers on a three-year extension that could be worth more than $90 million. ProBasketballTalkIn his pregame talk with the media, Phil Jackson sounded a little less certain, and a little more like this was all tied to winning another title. From the AP story: Lakers coach Phil Jackson says he hasn't decided whether he'll return for another season on the Los Angeles bench but he might be compelled to come back if his team wins another championship. ![]() Anything can happen before the Feb. 18 deadline, but the team probably doesn't want to spend the big bucks on top of an already huge payroll. Two seasons ago, with a massive expiring contract of $9.1 million and a charming penchant for fumbling entry passes, Brown was the Lakers' ticket to success when the Memphis Grizzlies, dying to cut costs, gladly took Brown, six weekday passes to Knott's Berry Farm and a two-night stay at the Buena Park Good Nite Inn in exchange for Pau Gasol. ![]() Mike_Bresnahan Reporting from New York - Lakers forward Pau Gasol has agreed in principle to an extension that would keep him under contract through 2013-14, and Kobe Bryant has had ever-improving discussions on a contract extension that would keep him with the Lakers for the same period. ![]() Kobe Bryant has not signed a contract extension. In fact, it might not happen at all this season. ![]() Mike Bresnahan Jordan Farmar now has extra motivation, should he need it. So does Adam Morrison. It was a prevalent theme last season, Lamar Odom and Trevor Ariza facing an uncertain future with the Lakers while in the last year of their contracts. Quick word from Lamar Odom after Friday's 97-92 win over the Kings in Las Vegas. LO limped to the locker room at the end of the first half after getting kicked in the right shin, possibly by Sacramento's Jon Brockman, who was locked in a scrum on the floor with Ron Artest. Josh Powell started the second half, and when Odom tried to enter the game he quickly had to check out, clearly in pain. |
