It didn’t take long for Bobcats coach Larry Brown to weigh in on Allen Iverson’s comments on Twitter.com that Charlotte was a possible destination for the free-agent guard.Brown, who coached the Pistons to the 2004 NBA title, told the Charlotte Observer he would enjoy coaching Iverson again.
But there are obstacles in the way of a reunion with the All-Star he coached in Philadelphia.
"One is the money; we wouldn’t want to make him an offer that would insult him," Brown said. "And with three small guards (Raja Bell, D.J. Augustin and restricted free agent Raymond Felton) already on the roster, he wouldn’t get to play the minutes he deserves.
"Until one or both of those things changes, I don’t see it."
Iverson, who played for the Pistons last season, listed the Bobcats, Knicks and Heat as possible landing spots. He also has been linked with the Clippers and Grizzlies.
