Whenever the Miami Heat come together after the NBA lockout, power forward Chris Bosh said Wednesday they still must come together as a team.Reflecting on both the work stoppage and his team being stopped two victories shy of a championship by the Dallas Mavericks in last season's NBA Finals, Bosh found himself in an introspective mode during an appearance on ESPN Radio's "Mike & Mike in the Morning." ![]() New Toronto Raptors coach Dwane Casey has completed the bulk of his coaching staff, with former Raptors assistant and 76ers and Magic head coach Johnny Davis agreeing to join his staff as lead assistant coach. Davis coached Allen Iverson in his rookie season in Philadelphia, but was fired after one season. He spent parts of two seasons as Orlando’s head coach, and was interim head coach in Memphis after Marc Iavaroni was fired two years ago, before the Grizzlies named Lionel Hollins head coach. Davis, a former teammate of Hollins’ on Portland’s world championship team in 1976, remained on Hollins’s staff. It appears the Raptors want Dallas assistant Dwane Casey to become the eighth head coach in team history. But he won't come easily after his defensive schemes helped lead the Mavericks to the title on Sunday. The Detroit Pistons and wealthy new owner Tom Gores are also interested in Casey and money is likely to be no object if they decide Casey is their guy.
The Toronto Raptors may get an unexpected break as they try to remake their team in the wake of a 22-60 season.
