Bobcats to explore possibility of adding Iverson

The Charlotte Bobcats have an owner who’s losing millions and looking
to sell. They’ve struggled to move tickets, win games and become
relevant in a town that used to adore the NBA.

Allen Iverson could change that. Pair the polarizing guard with coach
Larry Brown again and they wouldn’t just be talking about games in
Charlotte, they’d be talking about practice, too.

While the Raptors’ intention is to keep Chris Bosh, who is not remotely
being shopped, but he can be had for a knock-’em-dead offer — a prime
time player, another starter, a No. 1 pick and cash. Sources say there
has yet to be a single concrete proposal that comes close to blowing
anybody that matters (Bryan Colangelo) away.

Rumors from the AJC – Bosh, Smith and More

Chris Bosh, you say? Now that’s a teaser. Bosh is better than Smith at
this moment, but Bosh also becomes a free agent next summer.
Bosh-for-Josh would gamble four more years of Smith for what could be
one-and-done of Bosh. Me, I wouldn’t do it. (Go ask the Braves if
they’d make the Teixeira trade again.)

Carlos Boozer said on the Jim Rome ESPN radio show he hasn’t decided whether to opt out from his contract with more than $12 million remaining. He had said earlier this year he planned to opt out. Boozer supposedly had been indicating he has a free agent promise from Detroit or New Jersey.
