Warriors' Ellis gets a pass

The Warriors held a rare nighttime practice Monday, and Monta Ellis was dressed for the occasion. Instead of high-tops, he had on a cozy pair of slippers and had a whistle around his neck, though he didn't appear to do any coaching.

Warriors coach Don Nelson said Wednesday that he wouldn't be offering daily updates on Stephen Jackson's mood, but that didn't stop the disgruntled swingman from spouting off once again.
A day after abandoning his captaincy, speaking of a strained relationship with Nelson and reiterating that he wants out of Golden State, Jackson went a step further. He called out his teammates for the first time this season.

Fresh off a two-game suspension for "conduct detrimental to the team," Stephen Jackson was speaking his mind again Tuesday, telling the media why he "couldn't be a role model" on the Warriors.
